It's almost five years now and I must say things have moved swiftly. My 2 baby gals are so mature trust me these are words from my friends. Over the weekend some friends and I went out for retreat at Arboretum. My gals love the outdoors and the rainy weather did nothing to dent their enthusiasm. We left the house early due to errands I needed to run. On normal occasions I would not be caught dead with kids in town on a Saturday morning, but this was a special day. I had organized the event and I felt my kids need to see me do my thing.
We got there early and I finished all my errands before the met time so we decided to take a walk around. Suddenly the weather dramatically changed. We ducked for cover in a building as I began to contemplate if I should take them back home. To my sweet surprise the rain only elevated their eagerness. I was elated.
Soon after my friends called to inform us they were running late as expected. I felt a slight irritation thinking I woke the gals early for this? To us a plot is a plot. We cherish it and follow through because it's our nature. Being the wild ones we are we went around singing and just enjoying the moments together. What I learnt was that often times we expect others to bring the party forgetting you can and are the party. Living with my gals has taught that. Party at my house everyday
